First Day in Spain

Barcelona

We landed in Barcelona about 8:30 am Spain time (1:30 am CT).  We went through customs, gathered our MANY bags and headed out for food.  We boarded a bus to see a few Barcelona sights before heading to Zaragoza where the World Championship games will be held.

Our main stop in Barcelona was the famous church – Basilica De La Sagrada Familia.  We managed to get our tickets switched since our flight kept us from getting here on Sunday.  Time was limited but we walked through the church and around the outside.

After visiting the church we headed to Zaragoza on a 4+ hour drive through the country side of Spain.

Evening Scrimmage in Zaragoza
We checked into our hotel – Hotel Boston.  We had about an hour to settle in and then the pizza arrived.  At 7:00 pm the team bus picked us up to take us to the practice gym where we scrimmaged the Argentina team.
